About us

Learning from growing diversity in cities and metropolises

The Observatory is an international network of cities and a unique platform for the exchange of experiences, knowledge and innovative practices related to social cohesiveness, inclusion and community safety in cities.

The International Observatory of Mayors on Living Together is the result of the commitment made by Mayors from 23 cities around the world after the Living Together Summit, which was held in Montreal in 2015.

The International Observatory of Mayors on Living Together is an unprecedented collaborative effort among local governments. It is based on a unique partnership between cities and universities whose aim is to document best practices and produce case studies and original analyses concerning diversity in cities.
