Fez is a city of central Morocco located between the Rif and the Middle Atlas. Fez is the second largest city in Morocco with a population of 1.1 million inhabitants. The urban area is 320 km². Fez can be divided into three sectors: the old city which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Royal Enclosure, and the new districts. The main languages are Arabic and French. Tourism is an important aspect of Fez economy because of its rich history.
