More than 1,500 participants from 330 cities in more than 60 countries around the world gathered in Montreal to share experiences at the Global Social Economy Forum – GSEF2016. Read Press Release.
More than thirty mayors and elected officials from cities in Europe, Africa, Asia and North America participated in « Cities on stage ». They stated their commitment towards social economy and provided examples of how social economy can contribute to sustainable development and social cohesiveness.
At the end of the Forum, Seoul and Montreal, two member cities of the Observatory, announced the creation of an International Centre for Innovation and Knowledge Transfer on the Social and Solidarity Economy – C.I.T.I.E.S.
