The city of Monterrey is located in northeast of Mexico and is the capital of the State of Nuevo León. The population of the city reaches just over 1.1 million people and its territory covers 580,5km². The official language is Spanish. Monterrey is the most important economic center in the north end of the country. Moreover, the city is the base of many significant international corporations. Indeed, its proximity to the United-States and its industrial power offers it an important North American market.
