The first meeting of the Technical Group of the AIMF Standing Committee on Living Together was held on September 3 and 4 at Palais Eynard - City Hall, with the participation of the Mayor of Geneva, Mr. Sami Kanaan.
This meeting, organized by the City of Montréal (Chair of the Committee) in collaboration with the City of Geneva, also gathered representatives and experts from the cities of Douala, Lausanne, Namur, Rabat and Strasburg in order to exchange about municipal policies on Living Together in the Francophone area.
This technical meeting aimed more specifically to validate the content of a study, currently ongoing, about city policies and strategies related to Living Together within the Francophonie, as well as to prepare the political meeting of the Standing Committee on Living Together, to be held in margin of the General Assembly of the Association internationale des maires francophones (AIMF) in November 2018 in Lille.
The programme included a series of workshops moderated by Prof. Bob White from LABRRI - Laboratoire de recherche sur les relations interculturelles from Université de Montréal, as well as case studies and field visits in Geneva.
